Dear SSU Students,
The Computer Science Department will hold the Fifth Annual Programming Contest
on Monday 4/11 between 3:30pm~6:30pm in
MH210 - you are cordially invited to participated in the event. This year's
contest is sponsored by JD Software (http://www.jdsoft.com/). Winners will be
selected following regular ACM Programming Contest rules. Approximately $2000
will be awarded as monetary prizes, gifts, and the event party activities.
1. The programming language to be used will be Java.
2. Contest questions will be similar to ACM programming contest questions and
will be of varying degree of difficulty. You may check the questions/solutions
for our past four contests at http://cs.salemstate.edu/~byi/progClub/progClub_www/SSU_contests/ by clicking on "1st",
"2nd", "3rd", and "4th" (in the upper-left
corner).
3. You can familiarize yourself with the contest rules and specifications, and
participate in preparations and warm-up exercises, by coming to the SSU Programming
Club meeting on Wednesday 4/6 at 4:30pm in MH210 or MH202 and/or checking the
link above (click on the two links marked "HERE" at the bottom of the
page).
4. The contest will start around 3:30pm on
4/11/Monday; please do come a little earlier for the last minute
preparation/practice for the competition (this preparation will start around 2:30pm)
in MH210.

1. You must be a current SSU student, taking at least one course at SSU.
2. Send an email using your SSU email
address to Dr. Beifang Yi at byi@salemstate.edu by 4/6/Wednesday with
the following information:

3. The email subject must be "Registration for SSU
Programming Contest".
4. The number of seats for the contest is limited. Should there be more
applicants than available seats, precedence will be given to those who have
registered earlier and those who have actively participated in Programming Club
meetings.
